Viking shield

This viking shield was part of a university project where we were given the challenge of making a time machine.

I wanted to make this time machine look historical due o the theme of the project.

I based the shield off Fredydis Eiriksdottir, Erik the Red's daughter, as she is recognised as a strong fearless woman who in one particular folk story gained a lot of luck which could have been explained through time travel.

There are certain features added to the shield which add to the futuristic 'time machine' style such as red L.E.D's which light up when the body of the shield is turned to a certain point. The boss of the shield also spins which align some nordik symbols which could be represented as the dials of the time machine.
