Transit van to camper conversion

Materials used

Back to Home

I am currently in the process of converting an ex commercial transit van into a bohemian style camper van. This van will be mainly be built using recycled materials such as old pallet wood.

The aim of this project is to create an environment that could be permanently lived in, therefore will need to include everyday essential furniture and appliances such as a bed a kitchen and power outlets with a renewable source of energy.

- Fibreglass

- car window

- anti rust paint

- timber

- insulation foam

Adding the window

To add the window into the side of the van first i had to accurately measure and cut a hole using a jigsaw to fit.

I then used a silicon based glue to hold the window to the outside of the van, briefly using tape to hold it in place.
